Dr. Mark Helms
Dr. Helms is known for his friendly, easy-going, and comfortable chair-side manner. Patients feel comfortable discussing their dental concerns with him and often share a personal experience regarding their children, family or health issues. Dr. Helms listens and provides an additional level of support and comfort.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Helms completed his undergraduate studies at East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He has furthered his passion for dentistry by completing postgraduate studies with The American Orthodontic Society, L.D. Pankey Institute, Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), and American Dental Implant Association, to name a few. He is continually taking courses to stay on the cutting edge of his profession.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do you Like to Do?
Dr. Helms has been married for thirty-nine years to his wife Pamela and has three grandchildren. The Helms’ strong Christian faith keeps them active in their church, and Dr. Helms helps lead his Bible Study group. They are active in missions both in their community and overseas. When not spending time with his family he may be found enjoying his favorite hobby – golf!
