Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

It all started on a mission trip to Guatemala that was heavily focused on dentistry. This experience is what solidified Dr. Hunt's decision to become a dentist. The instant gratification of dental work is what drew her in, and she also liked the idea of having a skill set that could serve someone's oral health, overall health, and appearance at the same time.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After graduation from UNC-Wilmington, Dr. Hunt went on to earn her dental degree from the University of Louisville. This was followed by completing a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at UNC-Chapel Hill that was focused on cosmetic dentistry and dental implants. Over the years, she has also taken continuing education focused on dental implants, restorative dentistry, Invisalign, and the oral-systeming relationship.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do you Like to Do?

Dr. Hunt met her husband while they were in dental school, and they now have a young son and two daughters. A lot of their time is taken up by driving them to practice and attending their soccer games. Their family is completed by two German shorthaired pointers, which were a graduation gift to her husband. When she is not spending quality time with family, Dr Hunt likes to run, ride her Peloton, travel, attend concerts, and hang out at the beach.
